How many weeks till Spring?

Spring fever anyone?

It is raining and 10'C ....the snow is dirty and tired looking and I am tired of looking at it!

I took out my easter bins but have been distracted by  my 2 little explorers and their adventures of the mess makin' variety.

..so my easter decorations have been sitting there for 2 days..

But after staring at this for 20 minutes while waiting for the school bus...: (

Spring fever set in something fierce!..I am totally feeling the need for bright happy colours, beautiful smelling flowers, the warm sun and Easter bunnies bringing chocolate... (course it's really all about the chocolate ; p )

As usual some decorations from last year needed to be freshen up and I started with my wreath.

Big cup of coffee is a must have accessory en mi casa!

I decided to hotglue some purple grass in between the eggs and around the edges using a sharp pencil for the small gaps. Then added a new purple bow to hang it from.

Hello Spring!

I just love Easter decorations....so bright and cheerful!

Wish I could lounge around with the bunnies but Easter ain't gonna unpack itself....better hop to it ; )

Girlifying las gemelas nursery

I never knew the sex of babies until they were born. Cesina crossed her legs during the ultrasound and would move around whenever the nurse tried to get a better view but I had a gut feeling she was a girl despite the copious amounts of fish she had me eating with the eyeballs practically in them..ewww!
Las gemelas followed suit and both kept their legs crossed ..I knew one was a girl but wasn't sure about Valentina and instead of fish...las gemelas had me eating steak with fish sauce for breakfast...meat, meat and more meat!...now that was goood eating!!!...sorry to any vegans but I love my meat.
So due to the uncertainty I went with classic Pooh Bear bedding , beige shades and walls...figures they would both be girls....gotta love irony ...jajajajaja....but not so much the blah that is their gender neutral nursery.
I decided to paint the pink and purple flowers and butterflies from their bedding on the walls. Here is how it turned out.
sorry for the fuzzy pics

Cesina loved them and that's good because in a couple of years..providing we don't move...this will be her room.

Valentine's Day Decorations

Last year  I never decorated for V-day. The twins were 9 day's old and I could barely walk let alone decorate. My then 4 yr daughter was wondering what happened and when I was going to decorate for Valentine's day. She didn't understand that it could happen without decorations  because holidays never go undecorated en mi casa. So this year I made sure to decorate for Valentine's Day.

Even though Valentine's day is in our midst...I got Easter on the brain...lovely Spring weather, flowers and bright colours seem really appealing in these cold winter days .

Disney is offering free valentine day cards ...enjoy!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

It's been 4ever since I have blogged!... have been so busy enjoying my babies and the cold took up residence at my house and like a bad house guest...never left no matter how hard I tried to sanitize all surfaces..Lysol is my BFF.
Christmas decorating took me twice as long to put up and I have been tweaking the decorations ever since....would I sound nuts if I told u that I am already planning next year's decoration themes?..jejejejejeje
Enjoy the (germ-free) tour of my christmas decorations.

Las gemelas room

The gingerbread cocina

This was made with an old card holder, 3 braided feather boas & one battery operated led light set .I tied the feather boas with fishing line and hot glued the balls and snowmen....made for a great nightlight.

I add New Year's decorations on top of christmas and make it look like one big fiesta...the gingerbread and snowmen have hats and noisemakers in their hands.

I hope you had a wonderful holiday season...we sure did
en mi casa ; )
